The LA occupy is going to cost a fortune. Not only the grass but the entire irrigation system has been destroyed. The site is being treated as a biohazard site.

LAPD was remarkably restrained. I watched the footage from OakFoSho (nothing like a white suburban guy with a very expensive HD night vision digital video camera trying to sound like he's down with the 'hood. :D). The raid itself began closer to 1 am, and Occupy was given 45 minutes after the initial police arrived to get out. Even the professional activists that made up the core of Occupy (or as John and Ken of KFI call them, "Occu-poo") announced to the group "now is the time to get out if you don't want to be arrested."

It was clear from OakFoSho's video that the activists were ready with their chants and their strategy. They knew how to intimidate the police: Oak was shining his camera on all the cops and stating their names for the record. So many Hispanic cops out there, BTW. Not exactly the white banker man holding the people down. More like working class Latino guy trying to earn money for his family in a life-risking job while spoiled little white kids from the suburbs with dreadlocks and bongos pretend to be oppressed.

Make no mistake: the core of Occupy is professional activists. They know what they are doing. The only question is what their goal is and who they're working for. Someone is paying for the night vision cameras, the military grade tents, the two months of food, the lawyers (from the guild) and their salaries, etc. This is an expensive operation and they are not going away. I also think they have some power over the mayors who seem powerless against them. It took Homeland Security to synchronize those raids last night in LA & Philly. It shouldn't have taken that. All I can figure is that this movement is being run by someone who made these mayors offers they couldn't refuse...

Occupy L.A.: 30 tons of debris left behind at City Hall tent city

Sanitation officials said Wednesday that they expect to haul away 30 tons of debris from the Occupy L.A. encampment –- everything from clothing to heaps of garbage to oddball curiosities left behind by the protesters who lived at the City Hall tent city for two months.

Andrea Alarcon, president of the city Public Works board, said workers already have removed 25 tons of belongings from the City Hall park, all of it heading straight to a landfill.

Sanitation crews also have vacuumed up about 3,000 gallons of water that had washed into a catch basin in recent days and are testing it for hazardous materials, she said....

Rotting food mixed with feces and urine, a permanent haze of pot smoke. The workers had to wear masks.

Not just masks: they were in full white low level Hazmat suits. Watch the video here:

You know LA is already broke. It's only going to get worse and these filth spreaders are now going to cost over a million dollars. (Guess whose taxes will have to go up to pay for this crap. )
They are already handing out tons of parking tickets minutes BEFORE the meters run out.

I want to sue Occupy for expenses. Why don't any of these mayors sue them for clean-up?

Not an LA funny, but still funny.

CNN just had on, that now with their park shut down. They now have bought an office space on Wall Street. And are now putting people to work there organizing their group.

All volunteer, no pay. Said some people are actually quitting their jobs so they can work there free 12+ hours a day. Living on their savings alone.
