Occupy Protesters Mobilize for Obama’s Visit

More than 100 Occupy Wall Street protesters marched to a Midtown hotel on Wednesday night to protest a fund-raising event for President Obama.

Escorted by police vehicles as they helped snarl traffic across the Times Square area, beginning at Bryant Park, the group settled in front of barricades on the southwest corner of 53rd Street and Seventh Avenue, in view of the Sheraton hotel at which Mr. Obama was expected to appear by 9 p.m.

Demonstrators held signs that leveled some of the Occupy protest’s most pointed criticism to date of the president. “Obama is a corporate puppet,” one said. “War crimes must be stopped, no matter who does them,” read another, beside head shots of President George W. Bush and President Obama.

One man, wearing a mask of the president’s face and holding a cigar, carried a sign that read, “I sold out!”

But its not just the OWS people pissed too.

As people tried to get to Rockefeller Center for the Tree Lighting, they found barricades every where, traffic halted, and no access to the tree lighting as the President rubbed elbows with the elite of NY for campaign cash.

This is the problem of trying to keep venomous reptiles as pets, they are likely to turn on the owner.

Anyone else find it funny that they are protesting in front of a very large eBay add? Notice the McDonalds sign in the background too. :D
Liberals are proof that evolution is only a theory. Nothing that stupid could evolve past a monkey.

That they couldn't help. They wanted to protest where Obama was, and this is where he was, center of all they hate.

I'm sure obama is wondering why all this is going againt him. After all, he "Hears them and feels their pain".

Why? Why do the police continue to do this?

Instead of escorting them, they need to start disbanding them. Why am I, a law abiding citizen, being inconvienced by these law breaking dirtbags? I don't get it. Not after all this time.

Bravo, they've been needing to do this since the start.

They are protesting in a society that is owned and operated by major corporations, there's nothing surprising about having all these signs in the background.

North Korea has images of their glorious leader on every street corner, we have images of ours as well.
