Original message Occupy Clear Channel - Take Back OUR Airwaves 12/12/11
OCCUPY CLEAR CHANNEL!
Join us Monday, December 12th for a national action to "Occupy" Clear Channel stations and demand our rights as owners of the radio airwaves.
Clear Channel stations across the country are abandoning progressive talk in favor of even more right-wing stations on our airwaves - in anticipation of an election year. We will let them know that eliminating progressive views and further promoting right wing pro-corporate views to the exclusion of any other thought is not acceptable on our public airwaves.
This will be in conjunction with a physical protest in Sacramento. We will meet at 1440 Ethan Way at Clear Channel's offices in Sacramento Monday morning at 10:30. Then we will go inside to inspect their public files.
And we are asking other people around the country to do inspections of Clear Channel stations on the same day. Can you help in this action to start reclaiming our public airwaves?
It's easy: Just visit your local Clear Channel station on Monday, during normal business hours. Politely tell them you are there to inspect their public files. Because we are the owners of the airwaves, they legally must let you in. If they do not , get their names and write down what they tell you, and let us know. (Details of our rights are at http://transition.fcc.gov/mb/audio/decdoc/public_and_br... . We suggest you print this and carry it with you in case the stations do not well understand our legal right to conduct such inspections. Refer to the section, "The Local Public Inspection File.")
Find out where your local Clear Channel station is here: http://www.clearchannel.com/Radio/StationSearch.aspx ? (You may need to cut and paste into your browser.)
They may ask you for your name and address, and may charge a reasonable amount for photocopying files. They also may observe you as you do your inspection. They may NOT ask you to identify your organization or reason for doing an inspection, and they cannot refuse to provide you with a copy of the file.
Once inside, we suggest you start by looking at the letters file. You will (should) find complaints there; see who is complaining and about what, and how the station is reacting to the community. Also, look through the political files; find out who is buying political ads and for how much money.
You will be amazed at what you find, and you'll find it enormously empowering. Take notes and tell us what you discover.
If you plan to join us, please reply to this email or post on our facebook page before Monday, and we will add your city to our publicity outreach. If we can have people in many cities inspect Clear Channel's files on the same day, we will send a powerful message to Corporate radio station owners that WE own the airwaves, and they must serve our interest - the public interest.
More annoying stunts that will change nothing. And these dipshits will probably go into CC offices with their moronic "Mic Check" thingy. I'd hose em down but that's just me. :DMay the FORCE be with you!
12-10-2011, 07:26 PM... our rights as owners of the radio airwaves.
Why yes, you are part owners of the airwaves... You're not total owners, nor do you own the equimpment to broadcast. You can whine all about your message not getting out there, however you'd be wrong. Your message is out there, nobody likes it...;)Government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem.
We could say they are spending like drunken sailors. That would be unfair to drunken sailors, they're spending their OWN money.

Liberal radio keeps getting shut down because they cannot make a go of it financially or in ratings........people just aren't interested in listening to liberal radio.......so their solution is to "occupy" conservative radio claiming it is "theirs".
And they wonder why they are a spectacle, gaining media time but not winning over the 99% they claim to represent.

If they want their liberal message on the radio just buy ad time when those programs are on. That's how it works. It's actually very simple.
However, since no one is buying ad time on these liberal programs, because no one is listening, it's bye-bye liberal programming.
Have these dum-dums no sense of anything?

Lets get this right.
* Moonbats are now against the First Amendment because they can't force everyone to listen to them, or force anyone not listen to programs they disagree with.
* Moonbats think they can just ignore the Fourth Amendent if they form a mob and demand people turn over their papers and files ( I guess they never heard of a warrant before )
* Moonbats are under the delusion that they can't be ( and maybe will be ) charged with tresspassing if the people at these stations ask them to leave; the stations don't belong to the public.
Life sucks most of time for a Moonbat because the same behaivor they used to get whatever they wanted from Mommy & Daddy don't work so good out in the real world; having a temper tantrum doesn't impress a lot of folks ( except other Moonbats).CU's Paranormal Expert.
Keep your powder dry, your sword sharp and your wits intact.

It's like the Soviet Regime, I don't understand what everyone was complaining about. If you wanted to go to a good school and get a good job, you just needed to become a Party insider. That's how it works, it's very simple. No tricks, it was very clear-cut. I can't imagine what everyone was upset about.Originally Posted by Adam Smith - Wealth of Nations
