It's almost 2012 and I can't believe this is still happening. :D

White holiday lights only, say bylaws for a Bucks development - but some residents are rebelling.

The Doylestown Station townhouse development is aglow with white lights this holiday season.

...But multicolor lights are starting to pop, too, as a quiet rebellion takes hold among some neighbors who think the condominium association's ban on colored lights is not in keeping with the spirit of the season.

"The colored lights are more festive," said Marie Buonanno, a nine-year resident who is still fighting a $400 fine from the association for the colored lights she put up last year. Undaunted, she put up her colored lights again this week, festooning her home on Addison Court with bursts of red, green, blue, and white.

Do you light up the exterior of your home? Are you whites only or do they allow coloreds in your neighborhood?

I only decorate two windows. They are white.

Since its just me now and I usually spent Christmas out of town these days,
I dont go all out like I used to with decorating. When I do though, I like them
all colored in the bushes, and then just white only icicle lights hanging from
the roof line. Trees and bushes, and the inside Christmas tree I like colored.

All whites are nice, it gives the appearance of snow, which is incredibly rare around here.

I don't put up outdoor decorations.

I have a tree with multi-colored lights. My inner child likes the different colors.

I slapped a red bow on my door and called it a day. I don't bother with lights. But I don't live in a Nazi-occupied, I mean HOA, neighborhood so I could put up colored lights if I was so inclined.

My house is very simple, I make a "christmas tree" out of colored lights on my front window, hang a wreath, a small snowman at the entrance. And a pointsetta on the patio table....since I can't have one inside re:cats.

Outdoor lights are all white but the tree has multi-color. :D
