Harry Reid continues to demonstrate why he is the perfect leader of the Senate Democrats:

"The Republicans say the richest of the rich in our country, even those who make millions every year, shouldn’t contribute more to get our economy back on track. They call our plan, time after time, a tax on job creators, and I say so-called “job creators.” Because I say that, Mr. President, every shred of evidence contradicts this red herring. For example, there have been many outlets, but I’ll concentrate on one. National Public Radio went looking for one of these fictitious millionaire job creators. A reporter reached out to the business groups and a tax lobby in the Republican Congress hoping to interview one of these millionaires. Days ticked by with no luck. Many of our job creators are like unicorns, they're impossible to find and don't exist. That’s because only a tiny fraction of people making more than a million dollars, probably less than one percent, are actually small business owners and only a tiny fraction of that tiny fraction is a traditional job creator."

    Myth Understanding

Breaking with the Whitehouse on a longstanding tenet of the Obama Administration, Harry Reid has declared that there are no unicorns.

And if that was all he said, we really wouldn't have a problem with it. But his actual quote was that millionaire job creators are "fictitious," and "like unicorns, they're impossible to find and don't exist."

Sort of like shovel-ready jobs, Harry?

But is it true that there are no millionaires anywhere who own businesses and hire employees? And which government study came up with this nugget of information on which Reid is basing policy? The answer is that neither Harry, Nancy, Barack, or any other Democrat has actually looked for a millionaire job creator (or job creation of any other kind), but that Harry heard a story on taxpayer-supported NPR that their team of crack journalists went looking for one and, amazingly, failed.

And so, despite Barack Obama's bitter salt tears, the myth of the unicorn has been put to rest, as has the myth of private job creation. Which allows the Democrats to share the financial facts of life and tell the American people where jobs really come from...

They're left by pixies under a trillion-dollar lettuce leaf.

No, those are consumers of goods and services. The producers of those goods and services are employers. Employers need consumers of their products, but consumers need employers to produce them.

Here's something that might assist your understanding:

Employers produce them? Then why bother employing?

Here's something that might assist your understanding:

Doubtful. Propagandists usually have little insight to give .... other than insight into the effectiveness of propaganda.

I keep telling you that you don't have to play dumb, we already know that you're not playing. Employers provide the investments and management that permits the creation of goods and services. Laborers without management and investment are like an army without tactitians and logisticians.

Sowell is an economist. To dismiss him as a propagandist shows more about your insecurities than any failings on his part.

No, he actually believes that there are such things as 'Shovel-ready jobs,' 'Medicare savings,' or 'Moderate Muslim nations', and that we can pay for them all by taking stuff from the rich, who apparently don't exist.

    Are you serious?
