Our's was greyt, 140° with the meat thermometer for rare. Plenty left over for New Years Day - minor disagreement over hot roast beef sammichs with mashed potatoes, or just plain roast beef sammichs though....

But the two big guys got their Christmas rib bones......

It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas.

I cooked a couple meals and relaxed a while.

Had a last minute emergency at work Saturday so we did not close when we were going to...but we made someone's final hours on earth more comfortable. A hospital released a terminal patient with no medication. We broke a few rules and handed the medication to the grandaughter without having an adjuticated claim, or even sure if we would ever get paid. I will worry about it tomorrow at work. I was not going to make the family watch the loved one suffer all weekend. So to all the customers that complained that "we should be closed for the holidays" they can kiss my ass...we are there for a reason.

The difference between pigs and people is that when they tell you you're cured it isn't a good thing.

Wow, that is powerful. Kinda chokes me up.
