The best was the MSM for once got it right and didn't show the stupid OSW "float" and gave them no television coverage. That made my day.

What didn't make my day was no Clydesdale horses in the parade. The stupid new owners of AB brewery chose to not send a team. They're jerks. They can take their stupid Stella belgian beer and their AB and shove it. They ruined the brewery. It formerly was the pride of St Louis.

But I digress, on with the discussion of bands and floats.

Your pics are just beautiful ... you even got 2 of my favorites.

The US. Marine Band and the flowers on the Rose Queen Float. The Queen was pretty as well, as I recall.

Best decorated float IMO was the Chinese one with the Dragon. Also liked the one with the Dinosaurs.

As for the Wisconsin marching band ... thought the uniforms were OK ... but didn't think too much of the "jumping" steps.

ABC, I think you have to see the U of Wisconsin band in person at a game to truly appreciate them. I was lucky to see one of their games, guest of a friend's husband. They were amazing, have never seen such enthusiasm. Of course when they play "On Wisconsin", the place goes nuts.

I enjoyed watching them more than the game. (disclaimer---not a football fanatic but loved that band and the enthusiasm of the fans). It was a never to forget moment.

I am sure you are correct. In person at a game would be much different than seeing them flash by in a parade on TV. Did catch the mascot standing on his head for a second though. He was good.

Also agree with you in missing the Budweiser Clydesdale horses this year. Such magnificent creatures!
