Asian Chick Salad

I just went to get my lunch and the restaurant listed today's specials on a chalk board. Asian Chick Salad was one of the specials.


PS I'm pretty sure they meant chicken, but what if they didn't?

Have a feeling it was done on purpose. Especially if written in chalk on the daily special board.

When we lived in the Dallas area years ago ... I actually asked a waiter what "Poontang Salad" was. :eek:

I hadn't a clue. He burst out laughing and wouldn't tell me!

Found out later however! Guess some young busboy or something does it for laughs!

If this was an ethnic restaurant, okay. But this is an all-american restaurant that specializes in dishes that feature ham or bacon.

My guess is that the "Poontang Salad" was a tunafish salad.
