I saw the movie over the holiday, and I had previously read all three books in the series.
The movie rocks. The actress who plays Lisbeth is awesome, in a minimalist kind of way. The script sticks to the novel pretty well, with only a few changes made. Lisbeth's revenge scene with her alleged guardian is true to the book, as are the horrific rape scenes, in which she basically makes animalistic kinds of noises. The scenes are very graphic, it's definitely not a movie for kids.
Daniel Craig is also good in his role as the disgraced reporter.
Christopher Plummer plays the nicest man in the movie. It's good to see him still acting. This movie is a far cry from The Sound Of Music, however.
I recommend the movie, but it's not for the faint at heart.

I hated the first book and only got about halfway through it, so I won't be seeing the movie."Today, [the American voter] chooses his rulers as he buys bootleg whiskey, never knowing precisely what he is getting, only certain that it is not what it pretends to be." - H.L. Mencken

the very graphic and disturbing rape scene. I've filed it under S&M porn type movie.
I read enough twisted real life shit in the headlines every day that I later can't get off
my mind. So I'm not the least bit interested in purposely subjecting my psyche to it
in living color Hollywood style.

If you haven't seen the Danish version, then you haven't seen it. A hard act to follow in my opinion."The efforts of the government alone will never be enough. In the end the people must choose and the people must help themselves" ~ JFK; from his famous inauguration speech (What Democrats sounded like before today's neo-Liberals hijacked that party)

I watched it about a week ago. A little different but interesting nonetheless.
Liberalism is just communism sold by the drink.

Couldn't handle the bad writing - I'm done. It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.
