I saw the movie over the holiday, and I had previously read all three books in the series.


The movie rocks. The actress who plays Lisbeth is awesome, in a minimalist kind of way. The script sticks to the novel pretty well, with only a few changes made. Lisbeth's revenge scene with her alleged guardian is true to the book, as are the horrific rape scenes, in which she basically makes animalistic kinds of noises. The scenes are very graphic, it's definitely not a movie for kids.

Daniel Craig is also good in his role as the disgraced reporter.

Christopher Plummer plays the nicest man in the movie. It's good to see him still acting. This movie is a far cry from The Sound Of Music, however.

I recommend the movie, but it's not for the faint at heart.

I won't be seeing it either. Everything I've seen written about this movie talks about
the very graphic and disturbing rape scene. I've filed it under S&M porn type movie.
I read enough twisted real life shit in the headlines every day that I later can't get off
my mind. So I'm not the least bit interested in purposely subjecting my psyche to it
in living color Hollywood style.
