Oh good grief.
Fat doesn't make you fat.One does not greet death when he knocks at your door.
Nay you repeatedly punch him in the throat as he slowly drags you away.

My great-grandmother made apple struedel, among other things. She was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in her 50s and lived to be 85, which is a long life for her generation (although her son/my grandpa is going to be 99 this summer). She continued to make struedel for everyone else. She wouldn't serve it without tasting it first to make sure it was okay. She would then spit out the little piece she tasted so she wouldn't cheat on her diabetic diet.
I don't think Paula Deen is capable of that level of self-control. I know I'm not.

What's worse is not spitting it out, and realizing that what you have just eaten is now in your system and there is nothing you can do about it. You are a failure. By doing chew and spew, you can get the yen out of your system.
