Aristus
When I was a tank crewman in the Army, other branches of the service used to call us
"dumb-ass tankers"
Some idiot on the M1 Abrams Tankers Facebook page sure isn't doing anything to refute the insult. He bellowing and blustering about "that socialist Muslim Obama". This doesn't make me ashamed to be a tanker; it makes me ashamed that he's a tanker!May the FORCE be with you!

So you get a lot of people that served for a couple three years sometime in the 80's that come on to sites like that and pontificate about illegal wars...Bu$hco and what a great job Obama is doing...yet when it came time to pu their ass on the line they either found a way to get a training billet and avoid it or they got out.
Yet there they sit like some kind of military expert.
I'm saying that this guy has a high probability of bing one of those idiots.
You know...like Bok.

It doesn't bother me, I had retarded tank crewmen from time to time. Somebody has to be Loader.
:D
"DumbAss Tanker" was an old nickname for tankers when I joined up in '75, it probably goes back to WW2 but it's not the kind of tidbit you find in history books. Maybe back in the day it wasn't worn as a badge of honor (Like the nickname 'Jumpin' junkies' for some of the airborne in the VN era), but throughout my time it was always a perverse badge of honor, like 'Yankee Doodle' in the Revolution/1812 era. In modern times we take it to mean focused on winning and too hard-headed to be turned aside by adversity.

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

I have strange feeling that if Aristus really was a tanker, at some point in his career as a crewman he would planned out how to surrender to enemy forces ( most likely had white flag hidden up his ass), get in touch with enemy media and give a really good anti-American speech on the enemy news network.
And most likely spent the rest of his time in the service thinking that he was officer material,and those in command were too stupid to see that.
