    I swim laps for 40 minutes a day, 5-6 days a week. I try gym things once in a while, but I hate that kind of stuff. I really like to swim. I might buy a bicycle this spring, though, and ride on some bike trails north of town.

    I used to play softball in a beer league. I used to be quite the athlete. I'm hoping to get back into playing shape and start playing hockey in an over 40 men's league.

    I started riding my bike back and forth to my mom's house (about a mile each way) and expanded the circle to 10-16 miles a day now. By mechanical calculations, I ought to have practically disappeared by now, but it apparently doesn't work that way. Even so, riding every day means I have offset some calories and done something to improve my overall health- so it's a good start to the day. It helps that I live someplace warm, but even so the cooler days make it a little tough on the lungs. Most people don't understand why I prefer to ride on windless 90ºF over "beautiful weather". When it's 90 and humid, I become one with the weather, the weather isn't on me.

    Mountain biking. Used to rock climb when I was a bit lighter, although never competed in any bouldering competitions.
