I'm back and ran a PR 1:50:10. That breaks down to 8:25 minutes per mile. I am still shooting for sub eights by the end of summer. Maybe I'm dreaming but it motivates me.

Any effective remedies out there for Achilles tendon soreness? I know I should rest it but I don't want to lose fitness by laying off too much. :(

Thanks. I have successive runs of 8:47-8:35 and last week of 8:25. I'm going the right direction but a long way to 7:59.

That sounds pretty good to me! Take care of the tendons. Maybe
if you work out on a stationary bicycle for a few days it would keep
your leg muscles moving but take the impact strain off your Achillies
till the soreness goes away.
