It was a family secret revealed only during a deathbed confession: For 17 years, the body of an elderly woman was entombed in a self-storage unit in Clearwater, Florida.

It all came out Thursday after the family fell behind on the rental fees and the owner of the property called the dead woman's granddaughter to say he was going to auction off the contents of the storage locker.

Her response: 'They can't sell my stuff at auction my grandmother is in there,' Clearwater police spokeswoman Joelle Castelli told Patch.com.

Okay, that would make a hell of an episode of "Storage Wars".
