Obama camp in panic as ‘Xena’ Sarah Palin scythes through support
Palinmania has washed away the Democrat’s lead in key states

    Sarah Baxter, Washington
THE high-heeled, moose-hunting governor of Alaska has sent Barack Obama’s campaign into a state of panic as support for the Democratic presidential candidate haemorrhages in the battleground states he must win to reach the White House.

Sarah Palin, 44, continued to scythe through Obama’s support among women by taunting the first potential black president for declining to choose Hillary Clinton as his running mate and by declaring that questions about juggling work and family were “kind of irrelevant” in the modern age.

The mother of five, who has been called Xena, the warrior princess, said in a television interview: “I think he’s regretting not picking [Clinton] now, I do. What determination and grit and even grace through some tough shots that were fired her way - she handled those well,” Palin said.

She presented herself as a champion of no-fuss, no-non-sense working mothers. “Of course you can be the vice-presi-dent and you can raise a family,” she said brightly. “I’m the governor and I’m raising a family.”
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

Obama only had a lead in some of these states because the GOP base - people like me - were not at all excied about McCain. We are, however, excided about the Baracuda. Now - baring some revelation that she is a vampire abortionist devil worshiper - she is going to continue to excite the base right up til election day.
Stand up for what is right, even if you have to stand alone.

Poll: Post-Palin Conservatives Far More Enthusiastic Than in 2004

In a stunning turn-around, a new poll taken after Sarah Palin’s nomination as Vice President shows that grassroots conservatives overwhelmingly support John McCain for president at levels that may eclipse conservative enthusiasm in the 2004 presidential election!

The poll, conducted by Grassfire.org, found that 62% of conservatives now say they are “more enthusiastic” about the 2008 elections than 2004—a complete reversal from May when the same question found that those “less enthusiastic” outnumbered the more enthusiastic by a 3-to-1 margin.

“Given the angst conservatives have felt over the past two years, this change toward McCain by conservatives is both swift and stunning,” says Grassfire.org President Steve Elliott whose organization conducted a scientific random sample of its 1 million team members on September 8-9 for the poll.

Additionally, the survey also found that 93% of conservatives plan on voting for McCain (up from 67% in May), and 48% will volunteer and/or contribute (up from 24% in May). The difference? Sarah Palin. The survey found that 92% of conservative are “more enthusiastic” about McCain because of his choice of Palin as his running mate. “Clearly, it wasn’t enough for conservatives to oppose Obama or Clinton; they wanted a positive reason to support McCain,” says Elliott. “Palin is making this possible.”

A lot of people feel the same way.

And the bad news for Barry is that he is not going to get these back because they were never his in the first place. Short of both McCain and Palin being abducted by aliens never to return, I do not see the Democrats capable of steming the tide in anyway. Obama says he is going to employ a new "get tough" strategy. That will never work because it was the soft spoken, "new type of politician" Obama that people first became endeared with. No one will like him when he is the typical blowhard.
