Do they really think that they are going to have the approval of the majority of the people when they outright state that they plan to take over vacant public property and city/county owned property?

Tonight's Solidarity Marches for OWS
Yesterday, Occupy Oakland moved to convert a vacant building into a community center to provide education, medical, and housing services for the 99%. Police responded with tear gas, rubber bullets, beanbag rounds and mass arrests. The state has compounded its policy of callous indifference with a ruthless display of violent repression. The Occupy movement will respond, as we have always responded: with an overwhelming show of collective resistance. Today, we take to the streets. Across the country, we will demonstrate our resolve to overcome repression and continue to build a better world grounded in love and solidarity for one another. All eyes on all Occupies.

Translation: Yesterday, Occupy Oakland illegally took possession of a building that belonged to someone else and attempted to set up a squatters' camp for themselves. In doing so, they committed at least the following crimes:
- Breaking and entering
- Destruction of property
- Criminal trespass
- Grand theft
Meanwhile, somebody ought to organize a march in solidarity with the police. Participants will congregate in an orderly manner in the vicinity of a protest and provide backup to the police. The presence of a large crowd of police supporters would prevent the occuposers from surrounding the cops and provide a large pool of cell phones, cameras and other means of recording events that is not dependent on the occupiers or their lapdog media.--Odysseus

Before you can do things for people, you must be the kind of man who can get things done. But to get things done, you must love the doing, not the people!
