It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

Yeah. GM - and the media - goes on and on about how successful they are.
On a certain day, June 1, 2009, all old debts and past mistakes were forgiven. All old stockholders lost everything; bond holders got pennies. All gone.
On July 10, 2009, new stock was sold. 50 billion dollars. And it all went into the operating fund of GM.
So now GM has tons of money and can forget all their old debt. Gone. Never happened.
Today? Today, GM's market capitalization - that's the number of shares times the price - is 40 billion.
Sound like a great success story to you?
US Guv paid 40. Maybe some day they'll get their money back, but the original investors never will.

How can Volt sales fall from a floor?Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil.
