Doesn't Whirlpool own Kitchen Aid? It's similar to Toyota owning a Lexus.
From what I recall when buying Appliances years ago...Whirlpool products went by the following..
Whirlpool, Whirlpool Gold, Kitchen Aid.
I went with Kitchen Aid and my dishwasher broke down after a year. I now have Whirlpool appliances and their quality is much better. No issues at all.
That's why we bought an extended warranty. We got what basically is the same Kitchen Aid model that broke down after 8 years because we really liked it---when it was working.

So far they I have not seen any problem kitchenaid products at the lab, I'll ask.
I'd just like to say that I really hate the SkimLinks -- a lot.
When the delegates emerged from the Constitutional Convention in 1787, a Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got?” Franklin replied, “A republic, madam, if you can keep it.”
It's not SkimLinks, I uninstalled that days ago. These are another Ad company and I'm finding out how to turn them off. The Banner ads are staying.
Ah, I thought they were the SkimLinks. Good form, sir, and I have no probs with the banner ads at all. It was just the annoying unintended pop-ups and that blue that's gonna make me as blind as that geezer Rock.
