    Occupy protesters target California Democrats

Even with Democrats supporting higher taxes on the wealthy this November, Occupy protesters still found fault with California's majority party at their annual convention in San Diego on Saturday.

About 100 Occupy members protested outside the San Diego Convention Center, where the state party was holding the convention, sounding off on themes similar to those being discussed inside. But protesters said some Democrats had let them down by supporting the indefinite detention of terror suspects and spending millions on political campaigns.

"Don't just watch us, come and join us," and "Get up, get down, there's revolution in this town," they chanted.

Democratic delegates had to push through the crowd as they returned from lunch, but many stopped to talk to the protesters. Some of them also wore buttons saying "We are the 99 percent" and "Millionaire's tax of 2012."

Aw yes. The scent of community organizing is filling the air. We really are shaping up to be 0bamas America arent we?

    Complete with what? 100 protesters??!!

We could have 100,000 tea partiers go unreported in Washington. But you get 20 - 100 leftists together and youve got some major headline material there.

    Hehehe...

Have 100,000 Tea Party members gathered in DC and gone unreported?

Lets try virtually ignored or extremely under reported.

And then on the other hand.. 100 is made to sound like it represents a huge number of folk.

Im not aware of any large Tea Party gathering in DC going unreported or under reported. Having lived there many years, I do know that regardless of the cause or affiliation, rally or protest organizers always claim huge attendance, and the Park Service always pisses them off by estimating it much lower (using scientific methods rather than eyeball or wishful thinking). In other words, no one likes an objective observer. So the Park Service stopped publishing crowd estimates, and that pisses people off too. Now it's just one ballpark or wild guess against another.

I think the Park Service stopped estimating attendance after the Million Man March got their collective panties in a knot over the official body count. The way the park service used to estimate crowd size was to take an aerial photo, blow up a couple of representative squares, count heads in those squares, and then figure out how many squares there were in the entire Mall area. That pisses off organizers, who stand at the podium and see people from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial (whether or not they are there, whether or not they are participants, etc...) and declare "A million people!"

When you think about it, if there really were as many people in attendance as the groups claim, Guam would tip over.

Actually, the rally in DC was underplayed and the amount of participants was underestimated by the leftist media to make it sound like not many attended when some estimations have it in the 100K+ range. That said, like Janice said, but when a few dozen hippies get together, the leftist media makes it sound like a million people showed up and act like it has historical significance.

If one were to estimate crowd size by piles of feces, garbage, syringes, liquor bottles or crime in general the liberal protests would appear massive and the tea-party events would appear non existent.
How is obama working out for you?

They will protest them now, and dutifully pull the lever for them in November.

Because California Democrats are not far enough to the Left.
Olde-style, states' rights conservative. Ask if this concept confuses you.

Those that bother to show up at the polls. Some of these guys don't bother with the election process, because they consider it a sop to the man.

To these loons, yeah. Remember, in 1968, it was the Democratic convention in Chicago that attracted the Yippies, SDS and other assorted leftists. They targeted the liberal party of Johnson, rather than the conservative party of Goldwater/Nixon, because they knew that the Democrats were more likely to take them seriously and cave in to them. The Republicans would not have stood for any of it.
