    Worst. Nat'l Guard commercial. Ever

Went to the movies tonight and one of those Nat'l Guard music video commercials was shown.
It kept flashing back and forth between soldiers in battle and a **Nascar race**.
Includes soldiers in a tank somewhere in the Middle East having a boy's soccer ball rolling in front of their tank. Soldiers look at each other, one gets out, huge gun in hand. Little boy shown looking like he is about to die as the soldier looks at him. The soldier pauses, scans the area (raising his gun), then smiles at the boy and kicks the ball over to him. Boy smiles, soldier smiles. Awwww, life is good..see, they LOVE us.
Back to the Nascar race, group of cars reaching the finish line, one of them crashes into the wall, bursting into flames...then they show the winning driver making a victory fist as he realizes that the guy that almost beat him has crashed and burned! WTF?

Meanwhile during all of the scenes, the song "American Warrior" blares in the background.
I swear these Nat'l Guard music video commercials get worse every time I see them.

    Found the video!!

No replies yet, but since the video pissed off the DUmmy so much, I went and watched it. Naturally, the DUmmy is stupid, as is to be expected. There was a convoy of Hummers, not " in a tank ". Also, the soldier gets out, keeping his weapon pointed at the ground, not " scans the area (raising his gun)".
Besides, only a DUmmy would call it a "gun". :D

    This is my rifle,
    this is my gun.
    One is for shooting,
    one is for fun.

    ;)

By the way, I thought the video was good, but then again, I don't hate America or the military. :p

It was okay as far as they go. I'm not a fan of military comercials myself - not because I'm anti-military - but because it reminds me of how many friends I have in harms way and how badly those idiots disprespect what they are doing.

    1. I got a kick out of the black guy pictured in between Kid Rock and Dale Jr.

Reminded me of the Sesame St. song "Which of these things is not like the other..."

Then I was reminded of the fact that the recruiters target the poor black teenagers who have no hope...

This is the best recruiting commercial out there. It looks like the opening title sequence of what could be one hell of an action series.

Right. Because there's no way a black person could decide that he likes Nascar or Kid Rock. Or voting Republican. Or McCain. Or Palin.

Black people are too stupid to make up their own minds regarding what they like and don't like.

But like I said - these commercials make me uncomfortable. Besides - every one knows the Army is better :p

Yea really. Every time I see one - I am reminded of my friends who are over there and the terrible risks they are taking for assholes like the DUmmies who just don't get what it means to sacrifice or to serve. And yes really the Army is better. :p

BTW - that you? or someone close to you?
