I've always wondered where in the world Obama picked up his various accents. He doesn't talk like anyone I've ever heard. He's a total phony.

Way back when I was checking out colleges, I visited the U of Missouri (MIzzou) in Columbia, Mo. There was a girl's private college there. I met some of the students. They all tended to have a very prounounced Southern accent, but with a more cultured twist, not the twangy version. I talked to a few of them and asked their home town. Two of them said Michigan (I presumed it was SOUTHERN Michigan). Another was from Cleveland. Coincidence? Maybe, but they all talked the same.

I guess they were the precursor to Obummer, the phony.
That's what I was referring to, Hillarity's fake "folksie dialect. I puke a little in my throat when I hear either one of these phony POCs.

I think they all do it. I don't remember Bush I doing it, but Bush II would go from newspeak in the north, to folksy in the south, to total hick in Hicksville (West Virginia perhaps). He was just better at it than most. John Kerry tried it and sounded stooopid.
