No idea about tuna fishing. One thing my brother says about the fishing here, is you never know what you're gonna get. Up in the Northeast, he fished for mainly snapper, flounder, fluke and blue fish. Down here, you can literally catch anything, especially when he's out by the wall of the Gulf stream....

That's her big girl vest, and yes, it works....

This was her first life vest when she was younger...

That's just too funny. She could survive six years at sea with that thing.

That flap in the back will keep her supine if she were to ever be in the water...which thank Heavens, never happened. She hated it, it was uncomfortable..but she got used to it....until she graduated to the big girl vest...lol She's got her sea legs though, and that's what matters.

One time, we were sailing about two or three miles offshore on a day when the water was murky, and I got in the water to cool off and literally thought myself into shark paranoia. I thought I was seeing shadows of large fish in the water, if something had bumped me or nipped at me I would have probably had a heart attack. I had to get back into the boat. But up near the shore, in six feet or less of water I don't worry about sharks too much. I kist make sure I'm not the guy who is the farthest out.
Might want to read a little about Bull Sharks. They live in very shallow water and they will bite.
