I was taking Bella and Darlene for a walk tonight and we ran into a couple of these...

And the above pic is a dead ringer for the female named China. She was 7 and her buddy was a male pup who was 17 months old, can't remember his name. They were both Grey and looked like hairy Greys. The "Girls" got along fine with them.
May the FORCE be with you!

    That's a hippie greyhound!
The difference between pigs and people is that when they tell you you're cured it isn't a good thing.

If a hippie and a greyhound got married it would look like that.

Another reason to avoid the alternative lifestyles tent at OWS.

If it were a real Afghan hound, it would be wearing a burqa.

Before you can do things for people, you must be the kind of man who can get things done. But to get things done, you must love the doing, not the people!

I never thought about the possible connection. I must say though, that what Afghan hounds gained in hair they seem to have lost in intellect. I'll grant you that my experience is limited, but every Afghan hound I have come across was a little, um, stupid isn't the word for it. I think "aloof" would be close, but then a lot of people who don't know greyhounds find them to be shy and undoglike. It took a long time for my mom's greyhound to start acting like a dog, I always attributed that to the institutionalization rather than the breed.
