PHOENIX — A man described as a President Barack Obama fanatic pleads guilty to threatening to kill Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
Adam Eugene Cox appeared in a Tennessee courtroom on Wednesday.
He was arrested last year for a death threat that began on the Internet.
Cox threatened to kill the sheriff and his family.
Cox will not go to jail. He was sentenced to supervised probation.

separated at birth?Government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem.
We could say they are spending like drunken sailors. That would be unfair to drunken sailors, they're spending their OWN money.

"Supervised Probation" can sometimes be a codeword for "court-ordered, long-term, inpatient psychiatric treatment", especially if the local law enforcement people know the guy because he has a long mental health history and they know that his threat
was not serious.
The guy looks like he is mentally ill, but lots of people look that way in their mug shots. He was in TN, which is a long way from AZ, so I doubt he was all that serious. I sat through a trial once when I was in high school of a guy who called up the local FBI office and told them that he was going to kill then President Reagan. He received similar treatment, as he had no weapons, no specific plans and was a long way from DC.

Just as "Obama fanatic" is a codeword for mentally ill.--Odysseus

Before you can do things for people, you must be the kind of man who can get things done. But to get things done, you must love the doing, not the people!
