According to whom? The entities receiving the bailouts? Sure.

Regardless of his evangelical ideological purity (which I happen to completely disagree with), if the only thing you care about is jobs, he has an incredibly sane and aggressive jobs plan that targets the middle class and industrial sectors.

The banks were being threatened in the sense that they could shut down. if they shut down, then jobs are lost.

It's not the only thing I care about.

However, when it comes to the economy, I think I'm looking at two extremes.

Leftist: Darn the rich man! Darn him to heck! Darn him for being rich. Oh, and we'll pretend there are no shes. How dare they be rich. Even if a bailout would support jobs, let's not bail them out so we can stick it to the rich!

Righty: I am for 100% pure and uncontaminated capitalism. That means nothing like bailing out banks because the free market means they should be allowed to fall, even it does mean job loss.

Uh, no. They're both acting stupid and they're both two sides of the same coin.
