wasn't sure where to put this so i'll throw it in here.

has anyone built one? we're starting the farm and i need to put up a 42 x 30 hoop house over some raised beds and need to do it fairly inexpensively. I've found some sites that have smaller ones but not sure what i'll need to make them bigger to fit the spot.

Any materials are expensive right now anywhere. As for their prices you really won't find much cheaper, possibly on accessories, but on the coverings and frames they are the best.

If you go used, often you can find ones to tear down. Try Craig s list, you can often find a good frame but you will still have to buy the cover. Check with commercial realtors, sometimes they need to be removed to sell a property.

Just a thought but have you considered using PVC pipe and plastic sheeting for homemade ?
The 21st century. The age of Smart phones and Stupid people.

It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

well, instead of a hoop house, decided to do a-frame cold frame instead

this is what we got so far, going to turn the 12' 2x3 on it's side instead to give it more stability, as well as doing a cross from the top to the middle support.
