What ticks me off is the intimidation of law abiding people just trying to protect themselves by a mob scene of people calling to lynch the "white" guy, whether he's really white, brown, purple, green, etc.
Our neighborhood HOA had a representative of the sheriff's office speaking to us at a meeting last month. We were in the process of setting up a Citizen's Patrol. Tonight it's off, at least for the time being. One of our residents, who is a former detective in a major police department, said he wasn't about to sit in his car with the citizen's patrol thing on the side, waiting unarmed to be attacked.
We've had various things happen in our neighborhood and the police don't patrol all that often, spread too thin. Now we were about to do something about it, and people are frightened. It's a real nervous time here in Florida and probably throughout the US.
This administration bears responsibility for fanning the flames of racial violence. I can't remember when it's ever been this bad. It's scary when people blindly chant and protest and scream, don't think independently. Ironically, it's the same group who complained about people rushing to judgement and decrying the "sins" of the white people who are following the same pattern. Is it the old eye for an eye philosophy, the law of the jungle, not wasting a good opportunity to loot? Whatever, it's despicable on all sides.
Obama should be calming things, not being just another Rev. Al or Jessie Jackson.

no. no, i don't think it's that simple. they are like hyenas, they can't make a kill on their own ,but will spill blood by proxy... they want another death. gruesome and bloody, they need another body for this case...

That's part of it, but there's more. Remember all of that talk about Critical Race Theory, and how there are no facts, just competing narratives? Well, one part of the doctrine is that the winning narrative becomes the truth, and therefore it is the job of everybody involved who supports "social justice" to fight for their narrative. In this case, the competing narratives are these:
- Innocent black honor student is gunned down by racist white cop wannabe without any provocation
- Teenager who happens to be black, but who is seen in a hoodie sweatshirt in Florida, is followed by half-Latino neighborhood watch captain, following which an altercation occurs, and the neighborhood watch guy shoots the kid, possibly in self-defense, possibly not, but we won't know until the police complete their investigation.
The former narrative serves to buttress the belief of liberals (who make up the overwhelming majority of media figures) that America (except for them) is a racist nation that must atone for its sins, while serving the interest of those non-white media personalities who depend upon affirmative action to advance their careers, and the various racial arsonists who will use this to demand more concessions from the rest of us. It also sells more papers, as it is a more emotional hearing of the issue, and it helps reelect Obama, who the vast majority of media support. In other words, the racist vs. innocent child narrative sits at the junction of a number of leftist interests.
Most likely. If the child testifies and his testimony results in exoneration, then the media ends up looking the way that they looked after the Tawana Brawley and Duke LaCrosse player cases, that is, embarrassed and lacking in credibility. They are doubling down by attacking anyone who can undermine their version of the story.
