You got the message that all corporations are bad? The Lorax has been one of the most pro-corporation ad campaigns ever. It's got dozens of promotional tie-ins and has corporate logos slapped all over it.

What did you explain to her, to keep her from being brainwashed?

What ever he said was explained so a kid could understand and that would be over your head.

You beat me to it. I didn't see the film but a liberal like Wei Wei would reflexively defend against any attack on a movie that suits his narrative. I bet he just loved Atlas Shrugged.

We could say they are spending like drunken sailors. That would be unfair to drunken sailors, they're spending their OWN money.

I was trying to be nice. It was the kindest label I could muster.

Well I cant speak to your point about the ad campaigns cause I have much more important things to do, but like I said if this movie was just a standard take care of the environmental movie I could live with that. I told her that if she ever became a socialist I would beat her to an inch of her life, for her own good that is.

Well, first he told her to stay out of any class that you teach.

Movies are a business. The problem isn't that they are made by corporations, it's that the creative end is completely ignorant of economics, and produces hypocritical pablum.

BTW, unions are also corporations. Check out their filings some time. The difference is, a business produces something that people want, while a union simply extorts money.
