Did you read my entire comment, or did your eyes glaze over after the first sentence? I addressed the "truth" of that statement, which is that not voting doesn't give you any moral superiority. Here it is again, just so you don't miss it.
Stand up comedy is all well and good, but it isn't political science. If you vote for a third party, then, yes, you are guaranteeing yourself the right to whine with a clear conscience when nobody that you voted for gets into office, or even has a chance of getting in, but you are also ensuring that the person or party that you oppose the most has one less vote to counter, and if you are successful, by third party standards, then you siphon off enough votes from the lesser of the two evils to guarantee that the worst of the choices gets in. In other words, you help to guarantee the reelection of Obama. Carlin may joke about being free to whine about the failures of our government, but I prefer to try to staunch the tide of failure to the greatest extent possible.
That's the truth.

Yes, and a core of conservatives in the house and a Republican takeover of the senate will mitigate a lot of his more liberal instincts. Romney is far from perfect, but he's the better of the two choices that we face in November, and anyone who can't see that is delusional.
