Excellent read but I skipped the film. I already saw it live as I read. And mine didn't leave out scenes.

I Hear its better to watch the movie then read the book rather then the other way around.

My older daughter read it first (a couple of years ago) and then saw the movie opening night. She enjoyed it but she told me the discussion after was mostly about what got left out or was changed.

in 5-6 years, when all three are out, I'll either rent or buy the set and watch them one after the other. By then I will have forgotten enough of the story to not miss the left-outs.

Getting back to the Lorax, I saw Danny DeVito interviewed a few weeks ago. He's a nasty little twit and was doing the anti-big business, pro environment rant but in a really, really mean way. He's another one on my all time list of obnoxious Hollywood libs.
