I'll say it again, since you evidently didn't catch it the first time:

US military (service flags, and general/flag officer flags) and the Stars and Stripes only. Everything else is primping.

Now, if you want to go so far as to bitch and moan about some guys and gals on the FOB who are holding out a flag of whatever type while somebody takes a photo of them, that's merely primping. And that kind of thing has its place when you're mugging for the camera.

But it's a different animal altogether when you string up that logo flag or college flag or even state flag on a flagpole and you INTEND for that flag to wave in an official capacity -- not good at all, IMHO.

How many times...how many column inches are myself DAT Ody and others going to have to expend repeating ourselves about how things really operate in the military these days when it comes to policies on sexual orientation and how equally everyone is treated in the military?

What you find far easier to believe is the occasional story from a gay soldier who has other issues with discipline and adapting to military life who gets shown the door...and to cover for their own shortcomings as a soldier pins it on..well they kicked me out because I'm gay.

It's no different than the female soldier who falsely claims she wasn't promoted picked for a specialty detail etc because she was female.

Never mind the fact she never makes a formation in time...her uniform looks like crap and she can barely make 180 on the APFT.

We're not telling you what we do as some sort of military propaganda campaign...we're telling youths stuff so you know what the real deal is...so maybe when you hear the false crap you can correct it.

It's already happening. There's an Air Force officer suing to get what you say isn't happening.

Except that Federal law prohibits that. And the DoD has firmly stated that they will support the repeal of DADT but that is as far as it goes.

You can't have the DoD violating Federal law...well YOU may want that to further an agenda...but the smart people in D.C. aren't going to do it.
