I have no use for either the old or the new black panthers. The old ones included Eldridge Cleaver, a man who was proud enough of having raped black women in order to prepare for his ultimate strike at the white man, raping white women, that he boasted of it in his autobiography. The new panthers include some minister in Detroit whose last name is "Shabazz", who last week was telling the media that "we'll burn it" (about Detroit) before we let the State take it over.


I wonder if people realize how many of the original panthers ended up serving serious prison time for violent crimes? Not crimes against "the man", but crimes against their own neighbors and the black people they claim to speak for, like dealing cocaine. Wasn't Bobby Seale convicted of selling cocaine?
