(Heads to DU to see the head explosions)
I'm sure another special prosecutor will be appointed soon.![]()
Have the riots started yet?
Or the feds could file charges, although that would be a stretch, as they'd have to prove that Zimmerman acted with the intent to deny Martin his civil rights.
And, of course, if Eric Holder prosecutes a Latino for defending himself, what might that do to Obama's percentage of Latino voters?
On edit:

The special prosecutor in Florida has decided not to convene a grand jury in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
The special prosecutor in the Trayvon Martin case will not convene a grand jury to weigh possible charges against gunman George Zimmerman.
Officials did not give an explanation for the decision and said the investigation into the racially charged shooting is continuing.
The special prosecutor, Angela Corey, does not need a grand jury to take action — she can file charges herself or drop the case.
Zimmerman, a night watch volunteer, claims he was acting in self-defense when he gunned down the 17-year-old in late February.
The 28-year-old Hispanic man was released without charge after the shooting, which has sparked national debate about gun violence, race relations and Florida's Stand Your Ground law.
The controversial law allows residents to use deadly force if they feel there is a reasonable threat of death or serious injury.
Many observers expected a grand jury would be convened Tuesday.
Spectators were being encouraged to show up at Seminole County Courthouse wearing hoodies to show solidarity with the slain teen, who wore one the night he died.

- The prosecutor doesn't feel that she has enough evidence to convince a grand jury, and will file charges herself.
- The prosecutor doesn't feel that she has enough evidence to go to trial and will not file charges.
- The prosecutor doesn't want to deal with the media circus that will surround the grand jury, and wants to avoid a poltical spectacle.
- They couldn't find enough jury members who hadn't been tainted by the media coverage, or who were willing to undergo the intense scrutiny of the various activist groups involved.
- They're taking the New Black Panther Party's threats seriously.
- The prosecutor thinks that hoodies make her look fat.
- Any or none of the above. We just don't know...

There ya go.
I'm thinking you were right the first time, when you figured that Eric Holder had finally realized George was Hispanic. This could mean several things:

Seriously, though, she could still file charges without a grand jury. Considering the media pressure on this case, I still think this is a possibility.
Whats this talk of not having enough evidence? Grand Juries could indite a ham sandwhich.
