The scorpion/liquor thing seems like something a preteen boy would try, if he had access to both things, it's like burning ants with a magnifying glass.
I've heard that Born in the USA was the first CD pressed in the US, also, but I don't know if it's true. It was released in 1984, and I remember buying the LP.

I know that in the 56 short stories and 4 novels, Holmes never once said "Elementary, my dear Watson" There were a few quotes that were close, but never those exact words in that order.
