They may have, but the Bretts may not have opted for it. The article doesn't mention this. However, Australia also has a national health insurance that is supposed to provide universal coverage for hospitalization. Funny how nobody is calling on them to pony up?

Not all doom and gloom for premature babies. Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin, Sir Winston Churchill, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau were premature babies.

Even if we use the Canadian example, they were only intending on being here for 3 days, so it wouldn't have been applicable. Tough situation indeed, just pray that the baby stays healthy.
