Should artists be paid a living wage?

If people like your art, they will either buy it or pay to see it in an exhibit.


Otherwise, there's a traditional reason why so many are called "starving artists".

I loved the commercials on TV for "Starving Artists" shows they had on weekends. Saw them all the time when I lived up in Jersey.

What a great idea, the art would of course have to meet the Central Committee's cultural standards, and of course the artists would have to pass a political reliability check to ensure they support the correct Party that gave rise to this great leap forward...
