I can actually understand and see their point. Any decent attorney representing someone in a potential murder trial will tell their client to talk to no one and do nothing without consulting them first. Also the fact of no contact.

They don't sound like they are running scared,they just lost contact/control of their client so are severing ties. Also sounds like no charges pending.
