Question for lurking ReTHUGS Please explain to rational human beings how Obama has made the economy worse. It has improved significantly since he took office. The meme makes no fugging sense.

Um.. he grew the national debt at a greater rate than during Bush's 2nd term. He bailed out the banks and wall street. I realize you can argue back and forth endlessly whether or not bailouts are a good idea (this is a right/left ideology split and nobody is going to convince the other). However, his bailouts of the banks was to get them capital to increase lending. Okay. Well, the banks haven't been lending. Homes are still being foreclosed, and there has been rampant fraud and illegal accounting by the banks which has gone unpunished by Obama.

So even if you believe in bailouts in principle, the Obama's stated reasons for the bailouts haven't happened, and he hasn't done anything about the criminal activity the banks are doing with our money. So taxpayers got screwed twice. Once out of the money, and twice when the entities that got the money didn't use for the intended purpose (in fact, they are using our money to screw us). But this is the reason conservatives don't like big government.

What really boggles my mind is how the party of OWS can also be the party that bailed out wall street with taxpayer money. The only possible solution to resolve this logical conflict is if Democrats and Taxpayers were disjoint sets. Oh, wait.

What was the federal debt the day Obama took office, what is it now? what was the price of oil the day Obama took office,what is it now ? what was the unemployment rate the day Obama took office,what is it now ?

If America's economy were a minority, Barack Obama would be guilty of a hate crime for the things he's done to it. If the economy were a kidnap victim, Barack Obama would be telling it to "put the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again." If this were the movie Saw, Obama would have the economy chained to a radiator and he’d demand that it cut off its own foot to escape. Had Obama literally done nothing except watch Gilligan's Island reruns since he was elected, not only would the economy be in considerably better shape today, but he could learn a lot of tips from the Skipper on how to properly handle Joe Biden.
