Not too bright going to a SHERIFF'S auction to do their stupid stunt. At least it didn't take long for law enforcement to get them.

Reminds me of a tech product show at a conference center near Scott AFB in Illinois. We were all standing around, really bored, as we only had visitors to our booth during breaks from their meetings.

All of a sudden police came running by, chasing a guy. He stupidly opened the door to the conference, filled with MP's, not a wise move.

Do we still have any of the old state mental hospitals left? I know we only have one left for kids in Michigan, the rest have been torn down or converted to prisons.

We need those places, especially the ones with the old ECT machines (not the kind Carrie Fisher's shrink uses, with the mild doses), Thorazine and straightjackets. We could fill at least one with OWS protesters, although not really in Detroit. We dont have many protesters, since they know that anyone on the streets in Detroit after 4:30 is on their own. That's when the police precincts close.

I'm relatively sure the one in Kalamazoo is still open. A friend was there recently. No, not me this time! I did a quick search on google and several came up but I didn't click on any to see if they're currently open.

That's a dicey proposition. The Soviets used to criminalize their mental health facilities by pretending that since socialism provided a perfect society, anyone who wasn't satisfied with it must be insane. They converted their mental health facilities into prisons for dissidents and doped them up, tortured them with all manner of therapeutic treatments (there's a fine line between electro-shock therapy and electrical torture). That's not to say that some of these guys are crazier than a rat in a coffee can, but we cannot blur the distinction. They have to be held accountable through the criminal justice system, and only remanded for psychiatric care if they cannot be tried due to diminished capacity.
