MIAMI (AP) — The 8-year-old twins love their iPad. They draw, play games and expand their vocabulary. Their family’s teenagers also like the hand-held computer tablets, too, but the clan’s elders show no interest.

I can just see the elders: "Hmmph! I-Pads! In my day, we didn't use tablets to communicate. Flinging poo was good enough for me, my father and his father, and it's good enough for you."

What are these people doing, letting apes use computers. Didn't they see Planet of the Apes? They are preparing them to rise up, destroy our civilization and enslave the surviving humans!

You're just mad because you have to use a DDR pad to post.
When the delegates emerged from the Constitutional Convention in 1787, a Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got?” Franklin replied, “A republic, madam, if you can keep it.”

How about a little poo-flinging story? The chimps at the zoo used the opportunity to fling a bit of poo at a vet, who was not their favorite. He went by helping hold a stretcher with an anesthesized ape, couldn't let go and drop the ape, so was really pelted.

Those primates are smart and crafty. We'd best watch out.

By the way, it's not just apes that love those I -Pads. Our little grandson has been calling almost every day. We do the Skype thing. He tells his daddy, "Grandma, I-Pad". He who must be obeyed gets his way and grandma absolutely loves it.
