Of course the DUers are all gaga about this, despite the fact that Romney LEFT Bain 2 years before the steel mill closed............and one of Obama's bundlers worked there at that time AND STILL DOES.

Who's more likely to be a fault.......someone who left the company 2 years previously........or someone who was still there?

Obama's Bain ad: 'Like watching an old friend bleed to death' (Updated)

5/14/12 6:18 AM EDT

The Obama campaign's 2-minute ad on Mitt Romney's Bain Capital is record is out, and it is brutal.

Targeting Romney's involvement in the acquistion of GST Steel, the commercial shows workers at a shuttered plant pinning Romney and Bain with the blame.

“They made as much money off it as they could and they closed it down, they filed for bankruptcy, without any concern for the families or the communities,” says Joe Soptic, a former steelworker. “It was like watching an old friend bleed to death.”

The spot directly contrasts the steelworkers' testimonials with Romney's words touting his business experience, showing the Republican saying "I know how business works. I know why jobs come and why they go" and "As I look around at the millions of Americans without work, it breaks my heart."

Oops!… Obama Blames Romney For GST Plant Closing in 2001 in New Ad – But Mitt Left Bain in 1999
Update: Nice catch by Robert Costa at the Corner, who remembered something I’d forgotten:
Left unmentioned (and blameless) is Jonathan Lavine.

Lavine, according to the Los Angeles Times, is a top Obama bundler and a managing director at Bain Capital. Lavine, who has raised over $100,000 for the president, was at the firm when GST Steel declared bankruptcy. So according to the Obama team’s logic, Romney, who had left Bain, is responsible for GST Steel’s demise, but Lavine, who was there, is not? Expect to hear more about this connection.

But the DUers don't have ANY problem with it:

New Obama OMB director a Bain alum

I realize this happened earlier this year, but feel its relevant with the new ad about Bain.

Is it bad for the President to slam Rmoney about his involvement with Bain and the problems he caused while there, if there is a Bain alum in the OMB?
