Secret Service investigating Obama threat letters
HOWELL, Mich. - The U.S. Secret Service is investigating two threatening letters against Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, one sent to the Livingston County Democratic Party and another to a local business.
The Ann Arbor News and Livingston County Daily Press & Argus report Wednesday that the federal agency's Saginaw office is trying to determine the nature and extent of the threats.
Agent Douglas Zloto says the threats are being taken seriously. The letter sent to the party office reportedly expresses a wish that Obama "gets a bullet."
The second to the unidentified Howell business includes racial slurs.
