“They hate him and they want a reason to hate him, so they make it about finances,” Maher said. “But it really isn’t about finances. Bush ran up the deficit. Bush ran up the debt.”

Obama could order a Secret Service agent to murder someone on live TV and these jackholes would call anyone who complained about it racist.

All of these terms, racist, sexist, homophobe, fascist, etc., started out with specific meanings that gradually expanded to the point where they are s'imply another way of saying "someone who is winning an argument with a liberal." If the argument that you are winning has, in any way shape or form, the remotest possible application to race, then the person winning the argument is a racist. If it's even remotely about women, it's sexism. If you disagree with gay marriage, or the repeal of DADT, it's homophobia.

Look at this phony flap over the Jeremiah Wright ad that never happened. Romney's campaign is not allowed to discuss Jeremiah Wright, because that's racist, but if discussing the character of Obama, and his association with his "spiritual mentor," the man who officiated at his wedding, baptized his kids and provided the name of one of his two autobiographies, but who has also claimed that whites invented AIDS to kill blacks, who spews virulent antisemitism and America-hatred and equates whites with greed and hate, is racist, then what are we allowed to discuss during this election? Is any campaigning against Obama permitted?

Nope, because... everyone say it with me... IT'S RACIST! (I fully expect to see this said -- in all seriousness -- on DU within the next few months.)
