New Normal: Majority Of Unemployed Attended College

For the first time in history, the number of jobless workers age 25 and up who have attended some college now exceeds the ranks of those who settled for a high school diploma or less.

Out of 9 million unemployed in April, 4.7 million had gone to college or graduated and 4.3 million had not, seasonally adjusted Labor Department data show.

It seems that college professors today are not teaching their students what they need to know to be successful. For example, if Elizabeth Warren had spent less time teaching her law school students about legal issues and more time teaching them how to fill out forms fraudulently to get ahead in the world, we wouldn't have the unemployment problems we have today. /s

Any bets that the majority of these unemployed grads are Liberal Arts Majors?
Liberalism is just communism sold by the drink.

Actually our leaders and media have a hell of a time with causation and cause-effect relationships. Produce a study that says people who have associate's degrees live ten years longer, and everyone thinks if you get an associate's degree, that means you will live ten years longer, and there will be pressure for the government to provide more assistance to get people associate's degrees and make them easier to get. A more rational person, of the kind that seems to be in remarkably short supply in education, politics, and media would realize that correlation does not equal causation.

That's pretty much what has happened with higher education, if you substitute in 'College education' and 'Lifetime earnings' in the same little made-up scenario above.
