    ..this weekend.

    I've been a loyal charcoal type of gal until my HOA decided to change restrictions and ban charcoal grills.

    I went to Lowe's and a nice gentleman taught me how to use it. I will use it one day this week to test it out. I invited a bunch of people to my house for Memorial Day so I will do some lots of grilling for the holiday.
    I've had food on a gas grill, and it doesn't taste the same as charcoal grill...but it will have to do.

    What do y'all prefer to use?

    I use solid hickory but I live in an oak and hickory woods.

    12,5 acres we also have 10 acres down south and it has lots of shag bark hickory.

    I think "wood only" would be difficult for a single parent looking to grill a quick meal. In fact..it sounds like too much work for me also!

    I like propane and if I have time I add a little wood for smoke.

    Did you get an infrared grill? Everyone claims they are great.

    I love my Weber gar grill. One of the clever folks here recommended it, so I know it wasn't Rock. At any rate, it's the best grill I have ever owned.
