DUBUQUE COUNTY – Pet owner Jerald Reiter spoke with News 8 Tuesday about why he was allegedly driving drunk with a zebra and parrot in his car.
Reiter says he was taking his pets to the Doghouse Lounge in Dubuqe. That’s a place where pets are allegedly allowed into the restaurant. Reiter claims he wasn’t driving when Dubuque Police came and made him take a breathalyzer test. The police department has a different story though.

How the hell do you get a zebra into the cab of a truck?
For that matter, was the zebra drinking as well? It would explain a lot.
