Because we don't go around mucking up property, smashing windows, throwing bottles and rocks and stabbing cops, halting traffic, disrupting the lives of private citizens, etc.

Generally, if you don't riot, you don't get surrounded by riot police. If you don't assault the cops, destroy property or otherwise act like an OWStard, you don't get physically restrained by the police. What part of this confuses you?

It's complicated. A lot of it is propaganda. When the National Socialists broke with the communists, Stalin directed that they were now only to be referred to as a movement of the reactionary right. They were never addressed by their full name, but only as Nazis or fascists, which helped to create the separation with their fellow socialists. The Nazis, being the most virulently antisemitic political movement since Muhammed, continue to be the bete noire of Jews, and the left's relentless association of the Nazis with the right have paid off. It didn't helpt that Marx was a Jew, and the Nazis associated communism with Judaism in their propaganda, so it was relatively easy to portray anti-communism as being of a piece with Nazism.

Some of it also has to do with the urbanization of Jewish immigrants and the big city machines, which were almost all Democratic, and a lot of Jews coming from Europe tended to gravitate towards radical movements that actively recruited among immigrants. Plus, a lot of churches back in the day were openly antisemitic, and any political movement with a Christian basis tends to scare some Jews due to that history. Finally, there are a lot of Jews who actively seek to deny their background, either out of fear or a desire to fit in. Some of them go so far as to become openly antisemitic in their own right, by attacking the substance of Judaism, including Israel, while claiming not to be. Noam Chomsky, Bella Abzug and a number of other prominent leftists with Jewish backgrounds are more than happy to equate Judaism with capitalism, as Marx did.

Find them then. Considering most of the media is far left you shouldn't have any trouble. As always, I'll wait. And only give me instances where the traffic was halted without permits or planning.

Thanks fettpett. I went to a couple of tea party events here in Grand Rapids and the pics are accurate, no mess, respectful people, speakers who were informative and LISTENED to. No problems to speak of (except the dipwads that came to disrupt, no they weren't tea party people) .. really the worst thing you had to worry about was getting poked in the eye with an American flag!

There are three reasons why Occupoopers and far- left Communist/ Anarchist protestors in general wear masks or those stupid bandanas like Wild West bank robbers:
1. First and foremost, to make it more difficult for police officers to identify and arrest them when they inevitably engage in vandalism, violence, looting and rioting (Or, as they euphemistically call it, "Direct actions"). These gutless scum fear nothing more than having to face the consequences of their actions, so they conceal their identities.
2. To lessen the odds of the protestors' rich parents seeing them in news footage of the protests, recognizing them, and cutting off their trust funds.
3. Out of embarrassment, to hide how hideously rotted their teeth often are, due to a combination of poor dental hygiene and "Meth mouth" (A condition prevalent among crystal meth addicts, who make up at least 90% of Communist/ Anarchist protestors, in which their overuse of the drug causes their teeth to turn black and rot).
