A few days ago North Korea's Kim Jong Um visited the 639th DPRK United Forces Division and 534th DPRK United Forces Division to watch their Arts Propaganda show.
There are countless people starving to death on the streets right this moment and their so-called leader is wasting money on a failed missile experiment. That same amount can purchase two years worth of food supply for the entire population. He also wasted 2 million dollars on preserving his dear father's dead corpse. Now, as if his previous antics weren't enough, he is sitting in front of a grand performance enjoying all the privileges in the world. There just aren't enough words to describe how ridiculous this is.
It is a pity the North Korean people have to call this person their 'leader'.

This lack of empathy for the people of NK runs in the family. Who knew that narcissism was hereditary.Good men sleep peaceably in their beds at night because
rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Real superheroes don't wear capes. They wear dog tags.

United States: Over 16 million children go hungry every day due to lack of money. Enough food to feed everyone.
Great depression (A better comparison for the DPRK when comparing the economic crisis both countries have faced): 7-8 million Americans starve. Too much food. Farmers are paid to dump food. Prices are too high, yet food is abundant.
DPRK: Official statistics unavailable. Only recorded famine occured during early 90's and lasted until the later 90's. Lack of food to distribute and the USSR had collapsed, giving the DPRK no one to recieve food from. 1-3 million starve due to lack of food. China has since become an ally to the DPRK, providing the food needed to end the famine.

We could say they are spending like drunken sailors. That would be unfair to drunken sailors, they're spending their OWN money.

Farmers are NOT paid to dump food, farmers are granted compensation for letting land lie fallow, and that payment is a pittance compared to the amount such land would yield if placed in production. Prices are high due primarily to liberal/quasi-communist policies, that artificially increase the price of fuel, chemicals, and fertilizer, as well as transportation of finished goods to market. Also really stupid ideas like using grain crops for motor fuel.
It's simple economics, if production costs for food crops rise, either the consumer price will rise as well, or if artificially forced lower, farmers will simply stop raising those crops. When that happens, everybody starves.......
The DPRK has over thirty-three million hectares of tillable land, most of which produces nothing because the communist government is too busy building missles, and nuclear weapons, as well as maintaining the second-largest standing (conscript) military in the world.......sounds like misplaced priorities to me.......the DPRK would be better served to place what little hard-currency resources that they have into food production, and stop depending on hand-outs from the rest of the world (including the US taxpayers), just to support their regime.......hell, the DPRK can't even keep the lights on at night.......
Other than calling bullshit on your post, I'd suggest you might spend your time better actually producing some food for them.....
