1881 - Southwestern Telegraph and Telephone Company opened the first operational telephone system in Dallas with 40 subscribers.
1969 - Near Stonewall, the Lyndon B. Johnson State Historical Park opened to the public.
1972 - The first Kerrville Folk Festival opened in the Kerrville Municipal Auditorium.
2009 - The first event, a George Strait concert, was held at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX.It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
