    Madison, WI turnout over 100%!?

If true this is utterly amazing:

This, from a local radio reporter, just boggles the mind:

Madison City Clerk tells me turnout is on pace to hit 119% in Madison, adding "That would be unprecedented."
    — @AmyBarrilleaux via web That's not a typo. 119 percent. You know the wingnuts are already drawing up their conspiracy theories, but there is a simple explanation—Wisconsin allows same-day registration.

More people will vote today than were registered heading into the election. Many people are registering at the polls.
    — @AmyBarrilleaux via web
The early morning estimates were 80-88 percent. This is just mind-boggling, and obviously bodes well for Team Blue. On the other hand, the city clerks in conservative strongholds like Washington and Waukesha Counties are being more tight-lipped, simply talking about high turnout. Don't be surprised if those counties also approach or exceed 100 percent voter turnout.
Assuming these numbers are accurate and bear out (and they are still estimates at this point), it will be a testament to the Democratic and union get-out-the-vote operation. They're not leaving anything on the road, at least not in Madison.

Talk about a procedure that invites cheating, this is it.
Whatever happened to being responsible and getting your ass registered before an election??? This "Same Day" shit should be illegal.
May the FORCE be with you!

this is my worry, the justice department is preventing them from requiring any proof of eligibility, so busloads of out of state union people are voting and who knows how many times!

Can we please wait to see who wins before we start accusing the illegal alien out of state union thug Koch employees of voting?

Why? Conspiracies are much more fun...

We could say they are spending like drunken sailors. That would be unfair to drunken sailors, they're spending their OWN money.

I don't care who it benefits, it shouldn't be allowed. Anyone who wants to win by cheating is just unAmerican.

Wikipedia says: "Eight states have some form of Election Day voter registration: Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Wyoming and Washington DC. Montana began Election Day voter registration in 2006, and Iowa in 2008. Connecticut and Rhode Island also have Election Day registration, but only for presidential elections. (North Dakota, unique among the states, has no voter registration requirement at all.)"
"Today, [the American voter] chooses his rulers as he buys bootleg whiskey, never knowing precisely what he is getting, only certain that it is not what it pretends to be." - H.L. Mencken
